Welcome to this, the first of our monthly blogs, sharing personal learnings and thoughts around key aspects of the game.

This month I’m starting off with Game Design, a topic I’ve spoken about regularly with coaches as they seek to accelerate learning with players.

Much has been spoken about game design, yet do we fully appreciate our rationale for using such an approach, its impact on learning, and the many principles that under pins its effectiveness.

In this blog I share some of my thoughts around game design, emphasising the skill in constructing games with a purpose to help advance players tactical appreciation and decision making.
